One Newcastle United player has had a late scare ahead of hopeful participation in the Euro 2020 finals.
Only 13 days to go now until the finals kick off on Friday 11 June, with matches spread around various European countries.
Slightly less stadiums / countries are set to be used than originally planned, due to the local virus situation in some places not allowing the minimum number of fans inside grounds that UEFA have insisted on.
Martin Dubravka, Fabian Schar, Ryan Fraser and Emil Krafth appear to be the only four current NUFC squad members set to be involved at the Euro finals, with the last named being the subject of injury problems ahead of the finals.
The Swedish media revealing that Emil Krafth has been injured in training this week, with what is believed to be a sprained ankle.
The Sweden medical staff bandaged the ankle before the Newcastle defender left the training pitch, with them said to be hopeful it wasn’t a serious problem and not one to prevent his participation in the finals.
