Man United vs Liverpool
Sunday’s marquee Premier League clash was set to see Manchester United host Liverpool.
The tie was of little importance to United, who are sat comfortably in 2nd place in the Premier League.
However, Liverpool did need a win at Old Trafford to ensure they can continue to fight for a Champions League place.
A win for Jurgen Klopp and co. on Sunday would have also seen Manchester City crowned Premier League champions for a 3rd time in four years.
Man United vs Liverpool called off
However, the game has now been officially called off.
The original kick-off time for the clash was 4:30 PM UK time. But after United fans began protesting inside and outside Old Trafford against the Glazers, the game was delayed:

However, a short time ago, it was officially confirmed that the game would not be going ahead on Sunday.
A statement released from Manchester United said:
“Following discussion between the Police, The Premier League, Trafford Council and the clubs, our match against Liverpool has been postponed due to safety and security considerations around the protest today.
“Discussions will now take place with the Premier League on a revised date for the fixture.
“Our fans are passionate about Manchester United, and we completely acknowledge the right to free expression and peaceful protest.
“However, we regret the disruption to the team and actions which put other fans, staff, and the police in danger. We thank the police for their support and will assist them in any subsequent investigations.”
The protests, on the whole, did appear largely peaceful, though there were a handful of idiots who did take things too far, including one who was videoed smashing up a camera inside Old Trafford:
